Contention Ratios
Home User 1mb - 25:1 or less
Small Business 2mb - 20:1 or less
Large Business 3mb - 10:1 or less
This refers to how many other users are connected in the same area - more users all trying to share the same 'airspace' as you is not a good thing for speed, so the lower the ratio the better as it helps to ensure you have a true broadband experience.
