Lightnet Fibre to the Home Broadband gives you incredible speeds with hassle-free packages
We have made getting connected simple, Here’s how it works:
Call us to get connected, we will go through all the details over the phone and take a deposit payment to secure your installation.
The deposit will be made up of the connection fee of €65, first month’s payment and or any installation fee if applicable. This deposit will be refunded to you in full if we are unable to provide you with service on receipt back of the router to us.
We will book an appointment for you so you will know when the engineers are coming to install you Fibre to the Home connection.
We will send you a free high spec Fritz!Box wireless router, spectacular wireless speed along with significantly greater range with the super-fast Wireless AC standard. This device offers you so much more than just a router, experience full variety in one device: for internet, telephony and multimedia.
The Set-Up Costs:

The Installation Appointment
The engineer will contact you directly to confirm their arrival. The engineer will carry out a series of checks to see if the Fibre to the Home can be installed. Once installed call our support team who will activate the connection for you.
Account Set up
Once connected you will need to submit your bank details for monthly payment using this secure link. The contract length is 18 months.

What is Lightnet’s Contract Term?
There is a minimum 18-month contract with all Lightnet connections.
Can I get Fibre to the Home Broadband in my Area?
Fibre to the Home broadband is rolled out throughout Ireland – Check if it is available in your area here.
Do you charge for exceeding monthly data allowance?
Lightnet will not disconnect you or automatically charge you extra so you have full control of your bill. You can continue to use the connection with zero data allowance but at a 1mb speed.
If I exceed my monthly data allowance, can I Top Up or Upgrade to a package with a higher data allowance?
Can I still use my connection if I exceed my data allowance?
Yes, you can continue to use the connection on the reduced speed.
I am not the owner of the house; can I still get a Lightnet connection?
Once you are over the age of 18 and have permission from the homeowner or landlord to proceed with the installation of equipment at the property.
I don’t have an active landline; can I get Fibre to the Home Broadband?
Yes, once our initial checks come back successful and your residence is fibre to the home enabled. All connections are subject to a successful site visit.
How do I pay my bill?
The installation fee and first month installment is payable on the day of installation. The remaining payments will be taken by direct debit. Our technician will direct you to our website where you can submit your bank details securely.
What If I need to cancel my connection with Lightnet after I get installed?
You can cancel your contract with Lightnet by giving 30 days prior notice in writing. Should you break your contract you must pay out the remainder of your contract.
Where can I locate Lightnet’s Tariff Card?
If I am an existing Fixed Wireless customer, can I move to a Fibre to the Home Connection?

I have changed my mind; how do I cancel my Lightnet Fibre to the Home order?

Can I change/ keep my existing phone number if I move to Lightnet Fibre to the Home?
Yes, you can keep your existing phone number, or we can give you a new number with our VoIP phone service.
I have a monitored alarm or medical alert service – will this service work?
Please check with your alarm or medical alert provider to check if your alarm/medical alert will work over Lightnet’s VoIP phone service.
